Why we’re building C4Y

Teaching starts before a class and continues after it ends. C4Y connects the materials, the live explanation, the learner’s work, and the feedback in one workspace. We’re building software that helps educators keep that context and put it to use.

Why this role matters

Teaching involves several kinds of attention at once: the learner, the material, the explanation, and what should happen next. You’ll help make the software around those moments easier to understand. Your work will connect research, interaction design, visual systems, and the details of a shipped experience.

What you’ll work on

  • Research how educators organize materials, teach live, and respond to student work.
  • Design lesson-planning, classroom, assignment, and feedback workflows.
  • Prototype interactions that distinguish private notes from shared teaching material.
  • Develop accessible patterns that work across desktop, tablet, and smaller screens.
  • Work with engineering through implementation and improve the experience using observed behavior.

What you’ll bring

  • A portfolio that explains the problem, the decisions, and the outcome of your work.
  • Experience designing complex workflows and making their next steps clear.
  • Comfort with research, prototyping, visual design, and collaboration with engineers.
  • Care for accessibility, interaction details, and the language inside a product.

Projects you could take on

  • Make it easier to arrange and reuse the steps of a lesson.
  • Design a clear boundary between an instructor’s private view and the learner-facing stage.
  • Connect an assignment, its rubric, and actionable feedback in a coherent review experience.

Who you’ll work with

You’ll work with engineering and educators, from the first research conversation to the details of the released interface.
